The Career Center supports graduate students and postdocs as they prepare for careers in academia and beyond. With workshops, advising, and job search resources, you’ll find guidance on everything from the faculty hiring process to exploring non-academic career paths. One-on-one appointments with career counselors are also available for personalized support.
GradPro
GradPro is UC Berkeley’s hub for graduate student professional development. They offer one-on-one consultations, peer check-in groups, and workshops to support you at every stage of grad school and career exploration. Whether you’re considering academic or non-academic paths, GradPro provides resources to help you build skills, plan next steps, and connect with opportunities across campus.

Teaching resources
The GSI Teaching & Resource center provides support for GSIs and faculty and staff who work with GSIs. Path to the Professoriate, offered through the Graduate Division, provides first-year PhD students with workshops, events, and resources focused on navigating graduate school and preparing for a future career as a professor.
NextProf Nexus, co-hosted by UC Berkeley, the University of Michigan, and the Georgia Institute of Technology, is a future faculty workshop for 4th+ year PhD candidates, postdoctoral scholars, and early-career professionals in engineering. The workshop offers opportunities to learn about the academic job search process, life as a faculty member, and strategies for building a successful career in academia.
