ESS programs

Engineering Student Services (ESS) at Berkeley offers a range of programs to support the success of undergraduate engineering students during their time at Berkeley and beyond. Programs include opportunities for students to build mentor relationships, form cohorts within their majors and expand their understanding of course materials outside of the classroom.

Berkeley Mentorship Cohort

Our yearlong mentoring programs help current undergraduates develop relationships with other students, alumni and faculty; create academic support networks; and leverage opportunities for professional development. There are specialized programs for first-generation students as well as junior transfers.
