Each semester Engineering Student Services, along with the Center for Access to Engineering Excellence and the Career Center, provide students with leadership, professional development and career training.

LinkedIn workshop
Wednesday, February 5, 1:00-2:00 p.m., 240 Bechtel
LinkedIn is often the first way that you introduce yourself to prospective employers. Join ESS and the Career Center as they explore how to make the best impression with LinkedIn. You'll also get tips on how to use LinkedIn as a networking tool. Please RSVP, lunch will be served. 

Cupcakes and headshots
Wednesday, February 5, 2:00-4:00 p.m., 227 Bechtel
Free cupcakes and professional headshots for your professional, online profiles. Selfies are not acceptable for sites like LinkedIn, so let us help you spruce up your profile to ensure that you make a great impression! Please RSVP so we have enough cupcakes.

Professional networking and etiquette dinner

Deal or No Deal
Thursday, February 27, 1:00-2:00 p.m., 240 Bechtel

You just landed a job offer (or multiple job offers). What do you do? Don't panic! Marvin Lopez, ESS Director of Programs, will teach you how to turn a job offer into an awesome job offer.  You'll leave knowing how to compare job offers, negotiate offers and arrive at a win-win solution. Bring questions and an appetite as food will be provided! Please RSVP so we have enough lunch for everyone.

Undergraduate Research Symposium Poster Session
Friday, May 1, 12:00-2:00 p.m., Hearst Memorial Mining Building Lobby
Take the opportunity to find out more about the research projects that undergraduate engineers are working on. Undergraduate students from the College of Engineering (ranging from first-year to seniors) will be presenting their research on a wide range of projects that are striving to change the world.
