Tutoring and academic support
Berkeley Engineering offers tutoring services and enrichment programs to support student engagement and academic achievement. We open doors and remove barriers so that you can reach your educational goals.
Center for Access to Engineering Excellence
Our Center for Access to Engineering Excellence (CAEE) offers a range of free services to support academic success. We offer drop-in tutoring for core engineering coursework, review sessions, study groups and skill-building workshops. Our knowledgeable advising staff can share resources and information from across campus. Located at 227 Bechtel Engineering Center.
Our Pre-Engineering Program (PREP) gives incoming first-year students a competitive edge by jumpstarting their Berkeley Engineering experience through participation in the PREP Summer Institute.
Our Transfer Pre-Engineering Program (T-PREP) offers incoming transfer students an intensive seven-day immersive summer experience. Participants can live on campus and gain a head start in making the transition from community college to Berkeley Engineering.
Engineering Scholars as Engaged Scholars (ES²) is a one-year program that provides incoming freshmen and transfer students with opportunities to combine their love of engineering and innovation with their commitment to social justice and underserved communities.
Academic Excellence Workshops
Every semester, the Center for Access to Engineering Excellence offers a series of Academic Excellence Workshops to help students make the most of their time at Berkeley Engineering. Whether it is how to take notes and study effectively, make the most of GSI and faculty office hours, or managing your time and stress, our workshops approach topics with the engineering student in mind.
