Photography & video

Photography and videos are key elements to our ability to tell the UC Berkeley Engineering story. The following tools help us highlight the inspiring people and places of the college, and to showcase the events and activities that enrich the lives of our community members.

Photography archive

Our photography archive includes images for possible use in flyers, on webpages and more. CalNet login is required to view and download files from the UC Berkeley Engineering photo gallery.

Video bumpers

Pre-set bumpers help you create branded videos. UC Berkeley Engineering-branded video bumpers are available in 4K, HD, and vertical formats for social media.

Model release

A signed model release form is required for photos and audio/visual recordings of individuals intended for use — either digitally or in print — on all university publications and marketing materials.

Participants under 18 require a release form signed by the individual’s parent/guardian. (Minors do not need to sign an additional participant form). Releases should remain on file as long as photos and videos remain in use.

Crowd release

When capturing images and video at large, public events, it may not be feasible to collect model releases from each individual that may appear on film. In such scenarios, photographers/videographers should post a Crowd Notice Release at each entrance to the event, and take photos of posted notices.
