150 years of innovation

As UC Berkeley marks its sesquicentennial, Berkeley Engineering joins in celebrating the university’s 150th anniversary.

Three of the college’s forerunners (the colleges of Mechanic Arts, Mining and Civil Engineering) were among the six original units of the University of California when it was founded in 1868. A century and a half later, the college continues to push the boundaries of knowledge, service and leadership.
