Class of 2020 celebration
Welcome from the dean
Dear Graduates, Families and Friends,
Welcome to the inaugural online celebration of Berkeley Engineering graduates! We are proud of our Class of 2020, which has weathered disasters like none before to reach this milestone. Thank you all for joining us to celebrate the achievements of our graduates and to affirm the power of community to overcome adversity.
We are living in unprecedented times with the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and food and water insecurity threatening our global society. The world needs Berkeley Engineers now, more than ever.
Our graduates have successfully completed a rigorous program of study here at the best public university in the world. They have gained new knowledge and skills, discovered new ways of thinking and working, and developed new friendships and interests. We have witnessed their transformation into engineering leaders and innovators for positive change.
Congratulations to all of our graduates and to those who have made this day possible for them. I look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish, toward a brighter future for all.
Fiat Lux!
