Registration Troubleshooting

Spring 2018 Troubleshooting. We know that some required classes have filled up and we have been in contact with these departments about the possibility of adding additional seats. Here's an update from some of these departments:

Chemistry: The Department hopes to either add additional seats or open up waitlists for Chem 1B and Chem 3AL and 3BL. We are not sure when this might happen, so be sure to check the Schedule of Classes regularly in the next few days.

Physics: The Physics Department is trying to add additional labs/discussions for Physics 7B. This may take several days or longer, so be sure to monitor the Schedule of Classes for updates to this class.

College Writing R1A: The College Writing Program has added two additional sections of College Writing R1A.  If you have not satisfied the Entry Level Writing requirement and need to satisfy ELW and your R&CA requirement, this is the course to take.

Math: The Department is planning to open new sections of Math 1A, 1B, 53 and 54. They are currently working with other campus departments to find instructors and space for the courses. They have created a webpage that will be updated when courses have been added:

If you are trying to enroll in a math course, ESS suggests that you either bookmark the page and check it often or use a service to monitor if a change has been made to the page. Options for free webpage monitoring include:

Phase I ends on November 12. We understand these departments are hoping to get these updates made during Phase I.

CalCentral problem:
If you experience issues with CalCentral you should submit a help request by emailing and explaining your issues as clearly as possible and noting any error messages you may have received. While your ESS Adviser can also try to troubleshoot--your best best it to submit a ticket.
