Society of Women Engineers Overnight Host Program (SWE OHP)
The New Admit Overnight Host Program (OHP) is a unique event designed specifically for women admitted to UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering for Fall 2018. Hosted by the Society of Women Engineers, the program provides female admits the opportunity to visit the Cal campus, interact with engineering student organizations and research laboratories, attend a banquet with UC Berkeley faculty and professors, and sleep overnight in student housing in order to experience life as a Berkeley engineer. This year’s program takes place from April 20-21, 2018. Participants are also encouraged to attend Cal Day on April 21. New Admit Parent Program
As parents/guardians of newly admitted female identifying students, we have designed a one-day program just for you on Friday, April 20, 2018, 9am-4pm (does not include lodging). The New Admit Parent Program works in conjunction with the New Admit Overnight Host Program and creates the opportunity for parents/guardians to interact with College of Engineering faculty, staff and students. We will also provide presentations on resources and services that are important to many parents/guardians, such as, financial aid, campus safety, housing, health services and career planning. Sponsored by the College of Engineering and hosted by Engineering Student Services, this program includes a light breakfast and lunch. The agenda will be posted the week of the event.
