Engineering to adapt to a changing planet

The world’s rapidly changing climate demands a holistic approach to engineering that emphasizes social and cultural constraints in addition to traditional technical and economic considerations. Berkeley Engineering’s research efforts focus on helping communities build resilience and adapt to future climate conditions, from severe drought to wildfires to floods.
