Sitara Swaroop

Hi! My name is Sitara Swaroop, and I am a senior studying mechanical engineering with a concentration in energy science and technology. I grew up in sunny Huntington Beach in southern California, but am glad to now be in the Bay Area. I am especially interested in working in renewable energy, energy efficiency, or electric vehicles when I graduate. At Cal, I am involved in the Society of Women Engineers. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, reading, hiking, spending time at the beach, and baking for my friends. I originally entered Cal as a student in the College of Natural Resources then transferred to the College of Engineering, so feel free to ask me about that process! I am super excited to be a peer adviser this year, and I look forward to seeing you around campus!
