Bio: Hii! I’m SáBeané, Sabi for short, a rising junior double majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Bioengineering, and I’m deeply passionate about bioastronautics (aerospace biomedical engineering & space medicine)! My academic interests center on the intersection of aerospace engineering, biology, and medicine, with a focus on human health and performance during long-duration spaceflight, a passion that began after I completed underwater astronaut training a couple of years ago. I have since pursued research and internships across space biosciences, biomechanics, and human systems to build an interdisciplinary understanding of the challenges of sustained space exploration. Outside of research and academics, I absolutely love any artsy endeavor such as painting, realism drawing, landscape photography, and crocheting/knitting, and trying out new hiking trails. I’ve learned so much from navigating Berkeley and pursuing interdisciplinary coursework, research, and internships, and I’m so excited to support you as your peer advisor.
