Hello! My name is Romy Mastel, and I am a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering, with a focus in medical devices. Last year, I was the Corporate Committee Co-Chair for the Cal Biomedical Engineering Society, and an intern for the Pilipinx Association of Scientists, Architects, and Engineers. Additionally, I am part of the Disabled Students Program here at Cal. I currently research microfluidic devices and selective DNA methylation in the Streets Lab, and previously worked as an R&D engineering intern at Potrero Medical. I also enjoy salsa dancing, playing guitar, and most of all, eating. Come and chat with me over Zoom about anything that’s on your mind, I look forward to meeting you!
