Olivia Chan

Olivia works with some of the Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS) students, as well as all of the Energy Engineering (EnE), Engineering Math & Statistics (EMS), and Environmental Engineering Science (EES) students. She can help with a wide range of issues including course selection, academic decision-making, graduation requirements, and college policies. Your ESS Adviser is here to provide support, refer you to campus resources, and help you reach your academic and personal goals to get the most out of your time at UC Berkeley. She can go over your official degree check with you.

Where did you go to College?
I went to UC Santa Cruz. Go Slugs!

How long have you been with the College of Engineering?
Since November 2012.

What is your favorite part of your job?
The students! Going beyond the academics to really learn who my students are.

What advice do you have for students?
Always take that crucial step back to acknowledge what you have accomplished especially during times when you feel all you see are speed bumps and walls in front of you. ESS is here for you!

What are your interests?
I enjoy volunteering, hanging out with family and friends, Animal Crossing, and Yelping as an excuse for eating tons of yummy food.

What are your favorite TV shows?
I like Bridgerton, Glee, Bones, Wynonna Earp, Legends of Tomorrow and almost anything on Disney+.
