Batu Akkas

Hello! My name is Batu Akkas, and I am a junior studying bioengineering, with an emphasis in the cell/tissue engineering and synthetic/computational biology concentrations. I grew up in Portland, Oregon, which is just as beautiful as California but with much worse weather. My main interests are drug and novel therapeutic developments, so I am intending to work in biotech upon graduating. On campus, I am also involved in consulting, research and Greek life. Aside from that, I love to fill my free time trying new places to eat in the Bay and playing beach volleyball at the Clark Kerr courts.
