I knew I wanted to work in an industrial R&D role, to be on the forefront of innovation and also be able to see the impact of my work in the real world.

2. If you could give one piece of advice to graduate students exploring career options, what would it be?

Try to attend seminars far outside of your department! Inspiration can come from anywhere.
