Kresge Engineering Library unveils a new diversity and inclusion collection
Today, Berkeley Engineering unveiled a new diversity, equity and inclusion resource collection at the Kresge Engineering Library. The collection consists of physical books as well as electronic books and other electronic resources. Although some books are housed in the engineering library, this resource is for the entire campus. The collection is meant to be dynamic and will grow over time.
“We are committed to fostering an inclusive climate in the College of Engineering in which every member of our community feels that they belong, and can reach their fullest potential. Books are still an essential resource for increasing one’s knowledge, understanding, and literacy on diversity, equity and inclusion issues,” said Engineering Dean Tsu-Jae King Liu.
This collection was created by Director of Faculty Engagement Fatima Alleyne, Head of Engineering and Physical Sciences collections Brian Quigley and Engineering Librarian Lisa Ngo.
