Bose Design Challenge

10/16/2018

6:00pm - 9:00pm

Location: Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation

We'd like to invite you to participate in the Fung Institute's 2018 Design Challenge sponsored by Bose and Real Industry! The challenge will focus on sound-based augmented reality and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students from all majors (though may be most relevant to students taking courses in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Music, and Music Technology). We hope you will join us for this great opportunity to work with a team on a real world industry led project, build new skills, interact with industry professionals, all while adding to your resume!

"How might we use sound-based augmented reality to improve our lives?"

In answering this question, students will work in interdisciplinary teams to gain real-world experience designing for AR, explore how companies actually develop products, and develop their professional networks. Teams will be formed at the kick-off event, or you may come with a preformed team. Students ideate, design, mockup, prototype, and hack on any platform - mobile, cloud, embedded, or directly on Bose hardware. Teams will then have 12 days to continue their work and submit online.

All student teams attending the 3 hour kickoff event will receive Bose hardware.
