Favorite campus spots

We invited our students to share stories of their favorite campus spots and what makes them stand out. We invite you to check them out, see where they are on the map and learn how our students have started to build their community.

Congratulations on your admission to UC Berkeley and taking the first steps to becoming a Berkeley Engineer. We know that you have questions about whether or not Berkeley Engineering is the right fit for you, so we hope you will find the information below helpful.

Advising: During events for admitted students, Engineering Student Services (ESS) advisers are available to answer questions from incoming students. Outside of those events, however, ESS advisers are not available to advise incoming students via email or appointments until students have accepted their offer of admission and completed Golden Bear Advising. Admitted students are welcome to reach out to undergraduate department advisers or the ESS peer advisers if they have questions.

Exams: If you have taken one or more Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, or A-Level exams, you can find out if which requirements they fulfill in the College of Engineering Undergraduate Guide – Exams.

Undergraduate academic programs: Learn more about each department, what they are studying and which minors are available for you to explore.

Course requirements for each major: The College of Engineering Undergraduate Guide provides information about degree requirements as well as important policies and procedures to help you successfully navigate your academic career

Department resources: Contact your department undergraduate adviser if you want to know more about department resources.

Co-curricular learning opportunities: The College of Engineering has many different ways for you to learn outside of the classroom.

Engineering visits: You can check out the campus Visitor Services’ virtual engineering visit on their YouTube page. You can also download the College of Engineering’s self-guided tour. You are also welcome to meet with our Engineering Student Services Peer Advisers, who offer both in-person and online drop-in hours.

Office of Planning & Analysis: You’ll find data about class size, demographics, grad rates, and more.
