Finding Research Opportunities as a Community College Student | Watch the webinar
Undergraduate research opportunities are a great way to engage with a discipline in a hands-on way, contribute to the knowledge base, “try-on” graduate school and enhance your transfer application. This session will provide an overview of the Transfer-to-Excellence Research Internship and introduce other ways to secure scientific research opportunities while enrolled in community college.
Please note that not all majors are offering presentations. You can explore each major through our undergraduate programs.
Industrial Engineering & Operations Research Information Session | Friday, Oct. 16 4–5 p.m.
Join us for an overview of the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) major, information about course preparation for transfer, and career opportunities in the field.
Materials Science & Engineering Faculty Panel and Q&A | Monday, Oct. 26th, 1:30–3 p.m.
This session is designed to introduce students to materials science and engineering and how it relates to other engineering and science disciplines, as well as meet some of our faculty. You will learn about the areas of materials science, research and career/internship opportunities. You will also learn the different career paths materials science has and what those have meant to each faculty member. There will be a question and answer session at the end. No need to register, join via this link.
