Degree audit reports (DARS)

You can quickly and easily obtain an unofficial “degree check” online using the Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS). The DARS application compares your academic work with the requirements of your degree program and gives you a comprehensive report on your progress toward meeting those requirements. This gives you an automated method to review your progress toward graduation at any time.

DARS is not available for students admitted for Fall 16. Students who were admitted prior to Fall 16 can review their degree progress for all work completed up to Summer 16.  The Academic Progress Report, which is scheduled to go online in October on CalCentral, will eventually replace DARS for all students.

How do I order a DARS audit?

Go to Bear Facts and sign on to DARSweb. Follow the prompt to submit a new audit.

Do I bring my DARS audit to faculty advising?

No, please do not bring your degree audit to faculty advising. Use your degree worksheet.

Will my transfer courses and petitions appear on my DARS profile?

Articulated courses completed at California community colleges will appear on your DARS profile once you have submitted your transcript to Admissions. Courses completed at other institutions (other UC schools, four-year colleges, two-year colleges outside California) will appear once an official transfer course evaluation form has been approved by the appropriate faculty and submitted to your Engineering Student Services (ESS) adviser. Your adviser will add the approved courses to your DARS profile.

Substitutions to degree requirements and courses that have been approved by petition will be added to your DARS profile by your ESS adviser. Please allow at least 10 working days for processing.
