Rey Banatao receieved his Ph.D in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics and Biochemistry from UC San Francisco and his BA from UC Berkeley in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He is passionate about the innovation process of early stage startups, and hopes it yields a positive impact on society and the environment. He thrives off of introducing new products and ideas to the market and the immediate impact they have on customers.

The CITRIS Research Exchange Seminar Series is a weekly dialogue highlighting leading voices on societal-scale research issues.
